Cycling over the Red Square in Moscow
The 11th Charity Red Square Bike Ride held on 26th August raised over $ 200.000! All funds raised are in support of Downside Up the charity that helps children with Down Syndrome in Russia. This year also, Voerman International sponsored this  event.
Voerman International’s team of cyclists were tested to the very limits of their sporting  endurance. But our team persevered and ended on the Red Square on August 26th after four days of cycling under extremely poor weather conditions. read more
 
Giving clothes a second life
In partnership with the charitable organisation KICI, Voerman now ensures that used clothes and textiles are put to good use. The arrangement is beautiful in its simplicity. Moving expats are given special KICI bags which they can fill with clothes and textiles that they can no longer put to use. 
 
Voerman sponosored Transport to Bosnia Herzogovina The Registry of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) today dispatched a shipment containing 306 used computers which will be donated to schools, youth centers and non-governmental organisations in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

2000 World Press Photo
The UTS Voerman Group’s archive management and scanning department recently lent a helping hand again to the World Press Photo organisation. The organisers of the most prestigious photo competition in the world now receive most entries digitally. However, some of the photographers do not always have faith in the digital transmission of their photographs.
 
Voerman stages moving lessons
Nowadays, schools leave nothing to chance when preparing children for society. Besides the classical reading, writing and arithmetic, schoolchildren are also assigned projects dealing with everyday occurrences – moving house, for example. This was why, in the context of a project about moving house, a large truck with a container recently parked at the main door of primary school De Dijsselbloem in Voorburg.

Small is beautiful for the city centre
Did you ever move house to the centre of a city or to one of those maze-like residential areas in, say, a new housing estate? Then we don’t have to tell you about the problems you can encounter. Narrow streets, very tight bends and one-way traffic in the city centre; speed ramps, narrow roads and concrete flower boxes in the suburbs. Yet that large wall unit, those beds, that piano – and those filing cabinets and desks if the move involves a company – still have to be moved efficiently and safely to their new home.

Voerman International Best Teaching Company of the Year 2005
Voerman International of The Hague has been named Best Teaching Company of the Year 2005. That was announced today at the Business Vehicle RAI exhibition by Mr van der Harst, Chairman of TLN, and Mr Heeren, Chairman of KNV Goods Transport. Voerman was awarded the title for the unique combination of professionalism, the personal touch and the innovation in its training culture. The two other nominated companies were ND Logistics of Oss and Verweij-Lopik of Lopik. VTL organises this competition to emphasise the importance of good learning companies in the field of vocational training. Read more.
