The charity bike ride of Russia, the Down Side Up Bike ride, has been driven!
Dennis, Thijs and Tatyana from our Moscow office did participate again.

More than 100 kilometre outside of Moscow the ride began on the 22nd of August and finished on Sunday 24th  on the Red Square in Moscow.  Under police force accompaniment the group participants drove to the Red Square, where all traffic lights and junctions were turned of so everyone could cross in one group.

Not only with participants, but Voerman International made also three trucks available which were used for the transport of the bikes of the 190 participants.
Also the final dinner was sponsored by Voerman.

The participants collected more than $250,000 for Down Side Up.
This charity organisation helps children with the down syndrome in Russia.



Also our colleagues in Prague participated for charity!
The Prague Post Cup held for the second year a charity golf tournament for Rváèek Home (www.rvacek.cz) which cares for children of 6 years and up with combined disabilities.
The Prague Post Cup was on September 4, 2008, and followed by a gala evening where the results were announced.
Voerman Prague and Eurohome Prague sponsored this tournament and a number of our colleagues in Prague participated.

The next  edition of the Alpe d’Huez (the fourth!) will be on Thursday June 4, 2009.
